Conserving Lancaster's streams since 1950
Join CBF’s Student Leadership Program in Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences, for a tree planting in Elizabethtown, PA! The event is open to all; high school students are especially welcomed & encouraged to come! Volunteers will work alongside experts in agricultural conservation from Penn State & the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to install a riparian buffer in Lancaster County. Attendees will explore how both farmers and our local waterways benefit from agricultural best management practices, learn of green career pathways & opportunities, and earn three (3) service learning/volunteer hours. Come out, get your hands dirty, and make an impact!
No prior experience necessary: we will provide all the necessary tools, gloves, and instructions! Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, and bring a reusable water bottle. Sign up at https://events.cbf.org/cbfslpatreeplanting. Registration closes on April 10, so sign-up today! Have questions about the event? Email Kassie Fenn at kfenn@cbf.org.
