SUMMARY:Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay - Culliton Park
DESCRIPTION:Come help us plant 14 trees and teach our neighbors more about the trees in one of SoWe’s beautiful parks! We are so excited for these trees to provide much-needed shade for neighbors and the impact these experiences will have on the community and watershed. \nWhat to wear & bring\nPlease dress for the weather\, we are rain or shine! Volunteers need to wear long pants\, clothes that can get dirty\, and close-toed shoes (boots recommended). We also recommend a hat\, bug spray\, sunscreen\, and gloves if you have them. Please bring water for yourself. Shovels will be provided. \nAccessibility\nThis site is a public park. Some digging will be challenging due to the urban environment. Volunteers should be prepared to walk\, bend\, stoop\, and kneel\, dig\, and do some minor lifting. A tree planting demonstration will be given at the beginning of the event.\nChildren of all ages are welcome to attend with their guardians.\nBathrooms are available. \nLocation\nThis planting location at Culliton Park in Lancaster City. Upon successful registration for this event\, the exact event address will be sent to the registrant.
